Usual Update

Holidays have entered their last phase. Funnily enough, usually I am quite sad when they end, but after being dormant for over two months, end of holidays feels like a relief.

Anyway, two days ago I got this picture done up. I was thinking of writing this on the side of the drawing:
I am a damsel. I am in distress.
I can handle this,
Have a nice day!!!
Thumbs up for women power!!!

Belle

Ok, thumbs down on portrait yet, but this came up in meanwhile:

Tweety

It might freak someone out to wake up and see dressed birds upon then, but I know would totally love to start a day like this.

I am good, baby!

I have begun to think that I am good at drawing things :)

Art Thingy - III

Alone In Crowd

Girl Watering Plants
This is actually a picture of Richie. This is how she usually comes up on terrace every evening.
Ah well, don't know how to describe this one. I just thought that no one can be a proper artist until he draws pictures with some nudity, and hence the above picture came into existence.
The Eye
Lol, its funny that a gaping eye is right below a semi-nude girl.

Herons
Saw them on the banks of a pond sorta thing near my home. They were quite intriguing.

Violin Girl
I saw a similar picture at the facebook profile of one of my friends. Somehow, it stuck to me as a apt sequel to my previously drawn "Waiting Girl" picture.
Look, that girl is happy now!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

OK, this post was supposed to be here on Christmas day. But for some reason I had been really busy, and consequently really lazy on the weekends, so haven't been blogging much lately.

Anyway, moving on. I had been thinking of giving Richie a Christmas gift, but couldn't really decide what to get for her. I could have bought something for her, but this time I wanted to do something more "personal". So the best thing which came to my mind was to make her a nice drawing, something Christmas-sy. And what could be better than the famous and lovable poster of movie Its A Wonderful Life. So, I did that :-

Its does looks good, I got it all laminated and presented it to her, and she loved it. That blank area at the top left-hand corner was ideal to write a small message, but that ain't for public viewing. ;)

The Colored Ones!

Lonely
Hmm...I remember spending a few lonely evenings by looking at the moon from my terrace. ;)
Well, I started to draw this picture above long ago, say in my eight grade i.e. 2006, but then never got a chance to finish it. Around sometime in November last year, while looking through old books, I found this unfinished pic tucked away neatly. Well, I thought I might as well finish it, but I am not really good with oil pastels, specially when I use them after a gap of four years!

Peeping Sun
Poster colors aren't my thing at all; in fact I used them first and only time while drawing this one in June last year. But hey, it doesn't look too bad! Also, I had stolen these colors from my brother, who ain't really keen on drawing anyway. But I really prefer my pencil-shading thing over these colored stuff. Black & White drawings are kinda 'classic', aren't they?

Viola
This picture is my favorite among all I ever made.Just look at her face, its so pretty. Boy, I just love her!! I have christened her Viola, taken from Shakespeare play Twelfth Night. There is quite a funny story behind this picture too. It was May 21st of this year, the day Pirates of Caribbean 4 was released. Now, as everyone will be aware there were lots of cute mermaids in that movie. Well, when I got home that day, my mind was kinda filled with swimming mermaids. And I thought that it will be rather cool to have them out on paper (to keep them with me, you know, silly thoughts lol). So I just drew one, and blimey, it was a good job indeed ;)
Geez, now I can sort of "imagine" how those sailors must have felt upon seeing a mermaid lol.

If only Viola was real!!!!!! :D

Art Thingy!

Sometimes, to let off steam, I do these:-

Waiting Girl
There is a bit of story behind this picture. Maybe I will post it at some later time.

Autumn

Over time, I will be posting more such drawings. Its better to put them up here than to keep them tucked away neatly in a folder in home, ain't it?

Sleepy Art!

Last night I was having this strange thing going on. I was trying to sleep, and was in-fact able to fall asleep somehow, but would wake up again in about 15 minutes. This process was repeated several times, until I realised that it might be impossible for me to fall asleep for several hours due to some reasons beyond my understanding. So I decided to goof away online for a while but got too bored with it (There is nothing good on internet anymore, I am starting to think that this internet-thing has almost ran it course now). Well, I took on to some more traditional method of killing time - Drawing.

Ergo, I took out my very old Art Copy, opened it, and started to think what exactly to draw in first place. Obviously I didn't wanted  to work on anything big and elaborate at this time of night, so I settled in for simple pencil-shading. Now, a few days ago I had seen somewhere, maybe in a some sort of ad in the newspaper, that there was a image of tiger made by using the English alphabets (I don't remember now what this sort of art is called). That image was very cool, the tiger there was made by using the words "Tyger Tyger Burning Bright", which is actually the opening lines of a poem called "The Tyger" by William Blake. Well, I decided to give it a go.

However, the tiger which I had originally seen was very much tigery-type - bold, ferocious and majestic. What I managed to draw was somewhat similar, only instead of ferocious it looked like someone was strangling it by neck. Lol. Here it is :-
So, lesson du jour :- Don't try to draw things when you are half asleep, things can turn funny.
But anyway, rest of the drawing is kinda cool!
